"People enjoyed the New Year meeting. Everything was very nicely and competently presented by you."

Irma van der Fluit, Director of Marketing and Communications

Context: 's Heeren Loo is the largest care institution in the Netherlands, helping people with mental and/or other disabilities to live their lives as they see fit. During the Corona epidemic, care was under great pressure. Clients did not always understand the 1.5-metre rules, relatives were not always allowed to visit their loved ones and care professionals had to work for a long time with a lack of clarity and risk of infection.

Output: In collaboration with event agency Simply Mascha, a live and online two-hour New Year's Eve programme was devised. In the first part, I engaged in a talk show setting with the Executive Board about the special Corona period, as well as other developments in the organisation. Pre-recorded questions from employees, were shown to the RVB as vlog items during the talk show. In parallel, employees could send in live questions and reactions. After a short break, it was the clients and their relatives themselves who took the floor: during a music show, two well-known singers visited staff, clients and relatives at home to perform a song especially for them. In parallel, I switched live between the different care settings to hear how clients themselves experienced this musical evening. Information, inspiration and even comfort came together in this elaborate format.
