"Great to work together! I heard from others that they liked you so much, who are going to
remember name."

Arjanne Lagendijk, Director NMCX Centre for Sustainability

Context

National Tree Day is held annually in the Netherlands on the third Wednesday in March. The aim of Stichting Nationale Boomfeestdag is to teach grade 6 (9 and 10) children more insight, knowledge and understanding of trees. The foundation also intends to have every child plant a tree at least once during his or her primary school years (every child a tree).

Output

During the National Tree Day in the Municipality of Haarlemmermeer, the children in attendance went to plant the trees at some point. In parallel, I and Arjanne Lagendijk, Director NMCX Centre for Sustainability, organised an over the line session with the other guests and the Mayor of Haarlemmermeer. Five propositions passed in review, with those present having to stand in the "agree" or "disagree" box. One statement was, for example, "I can actually do without my car", or "I take good care of my garden". This was followed by a trivia quiz on the environment. While I facilitated the conversation with the participants, Arjanne supplemented with further tips and facts. Thus, together we hosted an animated and informative session and got to know more about each other.
