About Robert

Robert [37] his professional background in the meeting- and hospitality industry explains his antenna for atmosphere and energy. In his role as Hotel Manager at citizenM Amsterdam Airport, he dealt with travelers from around the world. Already in your pre-event dealings, you’ll notice his sharp eye for detail and a focus on content and goals. As no other, he knows how to make people feel at ease – whether on stage or in the audience. Robert frequently cooperates with the Nederlands Debat Instituut and is member of the Vakgroep Goede Dagvoorzitters.

An experienced professional of substance

Robert completed his studies in International Business and his Master’s degree in Hospitality Management. Both with a strong international scope and with time spend abroad. Having worked for the Protocolbureau Robert hosted guests for the Dutch Royal House during official ceremonies. After his studies he worked as business developer for Seats2meet where he, both offline and online, helped to build the brand. In recent years, when working for Sendsteps, he consulted with many communication- and event professionals at home and abroad about the setup of their event and the interaction throughout. Recently Robert graduated as Coach Practitioner in the field of Systemic Work and NLP. The latter explains his inquisitive way of approaching professionals, themes and challenges.

From minister to Dalai Lama!

You can sense his knowledge and experience once you’ll see Robert in action. On stage he interviewed ministers, subject experts and captains of industry. He even interviewed His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Yet he always involves the audience. Robert’s belief of “an event being as good as its audience”, makes him always find ways to engage with the attendees. To hear their experience. In his role as sidekick he represents the voice of the audience and as such contributed to lively interviews of presenters such as Humberto Tan, Frits Barend, Annemarie van Gaal and Jort Kelder. Robert also organizes his own series of events called “Safe Room Amsterdam” in which Amsterdam citizens, together with subject experts, discuss taboo subjects within a safe, yet entertaining, setting.

Working with Robert, means you can feel comfortable to trust your audience and speakers to him. Quality and creativity has been proven time and time again!
